Nourish New Haven, the local food justice and sustainability conference with Greater-Yale and Greater-New Haven partners, took place at Yale Divinity School on September 19-20, 2014.
Details for the next Nourish New Haven conference and related projects throughout the year will become available by August 2015.
Yale Divinity School, Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Yale Institute of Sacred Music, Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, The Forum on Religion and Ecology at Yale, Yale Sustainable Food Project, Yale Dining and the Connecticut Mental Health Center provided major funding to make this conference free for all participants.
In addition, restaurants, community organizations, and other leaders strengthened community partnerships between Yale University and New Haven. Partners include Caseus Fromagerie & Bistro, Claire’s Corner Copia CitySeed, Common Ground, Community Alliance for Research and Engagement, Global Local Gourmet, Interreligious Eco-Justice Network of CT, Loaves and Fishes, Miya’s Sushi, New Haven Bioregional Group, New Haven Community Soup Kitchen, New Haven Farms, New Haven Food Policy Council, New Haven Land Trust, Roia Restaurant, Sandra’s Next Generation, West River Neighborhood Service Corps, Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity, and Yale Sustainability.
